Repair Sleeves (Type A & B)
-Steel sleeves have is widely used for general repair of defects in onshore pipelines. -The Type A : two halves of a steel cylinder that is placed around the damaged section of the pipe and welded to fully encircle the damaged section -The Type B : sleeve welded onto the pipeline surface with a full encirclement fillet while the pipe is in service -Most of the steel repair sleeves are used in static pressures and lateral loads. -The Repair process shall follow ASME PCC -2 |
