AAIS PROCEDURE FOR COMPUTER RADIOGRAPHY

2022

This procedure covers the minimum requirements for conducting onsite non-destructive testing for the digital profile radiography of piping, valves, etc. The procedure Includes inspection with or without insulation by computed radiographic testing method using an Iridium 192 source and CRx25p scanner. This method is employed to estimate the wall loss, profile of the object and to detect any formation of deposits inside the pipe or part.

ASTM - E 1441 - 00 - Computed Tomography (CT)Imaging.pdf

2000

This practice is for computed tomography (CT), which may be used to nondestructively disclose physical features or anomalies within an object under examination by providing radiological density and geometric measurements. This practice implicitly assumes the use of penetrating radiation, specifically x-ray and 9y-ray.

This guide covers practices and image quality measur-ing systems for the detection, display, and recording of CR data files. These data files, used in materials examination, are generated by penetrating radiation passing through the subject material and producing an image via a storage phosphor imaging plate. Although the described radiation sources are specifically X-ray and gamma-ray, the general concepts can be used for other radiation sources such as neutrons.
