Paints and varnishes — Pull- off test for adhesion (ISO 4624:2016)

2016

This International Standard is one of two standards which describe methods for assessing the adhesion of a single coating or a multi-coat system of paint, varnish or related product by measuring the minimum tensile stress necessary to detach or to rupture the coating in a direction perpendicular to the substrate.

ISO 12944-1-Part 1: General introduction

2017

In order to ensure effective corrosion protection of steel structures, owners of such structures, planners, consultants, companies carrying out corrosion protection work, inspectors of protective coatings and manufacturers of coating materials need to have at their disposal state-of-the-art information in concise form on corrosion protection by paint systems.

ISO 12944-2-Part 2: Classification of environments

2017

This document describes the environmental impact on steel structures. It covers structures exposed to the atmosphere as well as those immersed in water or buried in soil. For different atmospheric environments, a classification system based on corrosivity categories is also presented. Different environments for immersed and buried structures are also described. All these environments are relevant to the choice of protective paint systems.

ISO 16276-1 - Corrosion protection of Steel Structures by Protective Paint Systems - Part 1 - Pull-off Testing

2007

The main purpose of this part of ISO 16276 is to supplement the ISO 12944 series with regard to the field assessment of, and acceptance criteria for, the adhesion/cohesion of a coating. 16276 introduces the term “fracture strength” which includes both adhesion and cohesion. Adhesion and cohesion are defined in ISO 4618, whereas the ISO 12944 series uses the term “adhesion” only.
